Mr. Gore serves as the company Sports Research Advisor Consultant.  He supports the efforts of MAYS clients who are specifically involved in athletic organizations and provides feedback on leadership and engagement practices in stressful environments.  These clients include, but are not limited to, the Collegiate Officiates Consortium (COC) including officials from the Big10, MAC, and Missouri Valley Conferences.

 

He has more than 33 years of experience as a public servant, retiring from the Toledo Fire & Rescue Department as a respected and certified Firefighter EMT. In addition, Mr. Gore is a U.S. Navy veteran who honorably served during the Persian Gulf War.

 

Mr. Gore attends the annual National Conference on Race & Ethnicity in Higher Education (NCORE), participating in several seminars and workshops specifically focusing on inclusion in the workplace.  Additionally, Mr. Gore has participated in the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) which assesses the capability to shift cultural perspective and appropriately adapt behavior to cultural difference and commonalities.

 

He currently resides in Sylvania, Ohio, with his wife of 30 years Dr. Shanda Gore and they are the proud parents of son Nathaniel and daughter Shoshanah.
