Mrs. Jordan has served as the Operations Consultant Associate for MAYS for the past 4 years. She often works behind the scenes researching, coordinating schedules and set up client meetings. She collaborated on the creation and development of the MANE™ platform. Mrs. Jordan has also assisted in the creation and implementation of several Engagement, Satisfaction and Culture Climate Surveys and led analysis work with focus group and interview data. She has participated in the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI), using that assessment to further her understanding of working with a wide variety of cultural groups.
Mrs. Jordan holds a bachelor’s degree in early childhood/elementary education from Bowling Green State University and a Master's Degree in Special Education from the University of Toledo Early Childhood Special Education Program. During her time at the University of Toledo, she served as a Graduate Assistant, which included working with undergrad Early Childhood Education students. She has over 25 years of classroom experience in the education field with a focus on early childhood/kindergarten, as well as special education. She recently left her full-time teaching position to become an independent Direct Services/Shared Living Provider for her adult son who has epilepsy due to Syngap1, a rare genetic condition.
She has served her community through volunteering with the Special Olympics and through volunteering at her church in many roles, especially those focusing on children, families, and mothers. She was a leader in the MOMentum ministry, which served and supported women through the stages of motherhood. Mrs. Jordan served in various roles while a member of the Apple Tree Nursery School Board of Trustees at the University of Toledo from 2006 until it closed in 2013.
Mrs. Jordan has a passion for advocating for others, especially children and those in the special needs community. She has deep interest in helping those with mental health issues find the resources they need to live their lives to the fullest of their potential. She currently resides in Holland with her husband of 25 years. They are the proud parents of 2 adult sons and one teenage daughter.
